Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) — 10 minutes
- 2In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy — 5 minutes
- 3Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating well until combined — 2 minutes
- 4In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt — 2 minutes
- 5Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined — 3 minutes
- 6In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts — 2 minutes

- 9Pour the remaining batter over the brown sugar layer and spread evenly — 2 minutes
