  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. 1Boil water in a large pot and cook macaroni according to package instructions — 8 minutes
  2. 2Drain the macaroni and set aside — 2 minutes
  3. 3In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat — 1 minute
  4. 4Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute until well combined — 1 minute
  5. 5Gradually whisk in milk and cook until the sauce thickens, stirring frequently — 5 minutes
  6. 6Remove from heat and stir in cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth — 2 minutes
