Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) — 10 minutes
- 2Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions — 10 minutes
- 3In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft — 5 minutes
- 4Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned — 8 minutes
- 5Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes — 10 minutes
- 6In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese — 5 minutes
- 7Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, followed by noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese — 10 minutes
- 8Repeat layers, finishing with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top — 10 minutes
- 9Cover with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven — 30 minutes
- 10Remove foil and bake until cheese is bubbly and golden — 20 minutes
- 11Let lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving — 10 minutes
